Dinner ^^

I always cook 3~4 dishes every dinner. Tonight, I had 5, but I forgot to take other one dish... ^^; anyway... they were good ^^ I had fired egg mixed with canned crab and chivee, stir-fried vegetables, cooked (boiled) lotus root+yam + onion soysause flavor, and sauteed leek and liver .^^ Liver is good for you, and I love to eat when I get tired. We also eat row caw liver, but we need to got to special restaurant for that. We need to eat them really really fresh. You cannot buy caw liver at supermarket. But you can buy pork and chiken liver at any local supermarket. ^^

Jiaozi AGAIN!!?

Yeah, but not crazy about it.. ^^. As you might know, I've got Nintendo Wii, and went to my cousin to play with. My cousin is crazy about Jiaozi. He said he could eat Jiaozi as a breakfast. He loves Jaiozi, so I made a bunch as present. ^^. My cousin and his wife join a volunteer work on every weekend for kids [children] with special needs. They take them to swim for their rehab. Anyway, we visited their home with a bunch of Jiaozi and cake.

We played Wii a lot and had fun, and my cousin and his wife loved our Jiaozi... We made about more than 100, but we ate them all. ^^

Late dinner

We had late dinner the other night, so I made Japanese style rice noodle. We eat this thin rice noodle in summer time, but it is nice to have it with hot soup.

And for the other night, I made tomato past vegetable soup. It was cold night... ^^ If you want to eat vegetable, it is good to make vegetable soup. You can eat so many kinds of vegetable at once. ^^ This soup has Chinese cabbage, egg plants, carrot, celery, potato, tomato, chiken, and onion. (you can put beans and gram ..etc.) Really yumy

Sushi Restaurant

We ate out last night to Sushi bar. Sushi is the most famous Japanese dish. Do you know we have expensive sushi restaurant. The best part of visiting sushi restaurant is you sit at the sushi bar caunter table. You can talk to the master of the sushi chef, and you will see all the fresh sushi items.

(←can you see sushi are on the conveyor belt??)

But last night we went to sushi restaurant called Kaiten zushi. Kaiten-zushi are sushi restaurants, where the sushi dishes are presented to the customers on a conveyor belt. Customers can then freely pick the dishes that they like or order dishes which are not available on the belt. In the end, the number of plates is counted to determine the cost. There are usually a few kinds of plates (differing in color or pattern), each being associated with a certain price. Kaiten-zushi tend to be less expensive than usual sushi-ya.(quote from Japan guide.com)This is really fun to go with kids and friends. Not really expensive, and really casual. If you have $20, your tummy will full. (I had cuttlefish, salmon caviar(my favorate!!), moonfish, yellowtail and more!)

←cuttlefish almon caviar→
(PS. Of course, every sushi items are row)

Good things from NZ

My mother went to NZ last month, and she brought me back some goodies. As she knows about me who loves tea, she brought me back all kinds of tea from NZ. I try each tea everyday. They are good. One more interesting goods she have brought me back was ‘Tea Infuser’. I can’t find these in store in Japan. I thought was interesting.

Real Jiaozi! with Chinese technical trainee

Every year, our prefecture have invited technical trainee from China, Korea, and Indonesia. Here they are, 5 technical trainees from China studying Japanese technology. ^^ One day, they kindly invited us to Jiaozi party to thankful to our hard work to take care of their personal care. (our prefecture invite them, and we take care of their housing and daily life style advice and etc, etc. )

We have rented one kitchen room at community center, and made Jiaozi together. Some spices are from China, and it got me interested in. And I had one tea from Taiwan. The lady said its really expensive one. It cost about 3000yen/100g. Means 30$/3.5oz. Wow!! ←
Mr. Wan (王) was in charge of everything, and told us what to do to make Jiaozi. It was really fun. And it was soooo goood, and taste was really homey… .

This was my day to glimpse into a traditional Chinese dish.
