Easy cooking
All these dishes are so easy to make.
Season pork with soy sauce and sake beforehand. Then dip into deep fry batter and fry them about 5 to 7 minutes. That's all. ^^
Steamed pink salmon with vegetables is soooo easy. This is rapid-fire food. You season salmon with salt and pepper beforehand. You cut the vegetables.
For the rice. you cook rice as you usually do. Just put green pea after you wash the rice. Easy right?? If you cook all together, you can cook all this with in 40 minutes. ^^

pear with red cheddar cheese
Pear with Red cheddar cheese is really good for dessert. I had this when I was in high school in Colorado, USA. At first I could not bileaved this combinations of cheese and pear. But turn out it was really good. I found red cheddar cheese and pear at the new super market, so I wanted to taste the memorial flavore again. and it was still good, and that taste brought memories back to my heart. ^^
Japanese chicken fried with herb sauce
This is one of my favorate dish. Japanese soy sauce flavored fried chiken with herb sauce. Sause made of ginger, vinegar, and sesame oil with finely-chopped raw cibol. It is really good. If you like spicy chiken, you can make spicy chiken.
And I had Chanpon with it. Chanpon is really easy to make. You can put any kinds of vegitables, and fry hem up and add them with noodle and soup.

Japanese Traditional New Year Dish: Osechi

Osechi – ryori is a traditional Japanese New Year food. Usually Osechi ryouri is easily placed in a special box called Jyubako. This jyubako is usually have three-tiered box. And these osechi-ryouri have meaning and reprisent the luck and happiness in the fallowing year. ^^ We start to make this Osech-ryouri from 29th, 30th, and eat this on a new year (Jan 1st) Our new year continue till 3rd of January. We (women) cook a bunch of food at one time it because we don’t need to cook during a new year. We eat a whole food through this 3 days holiday. We did not put a lot of effort to make Osechi this year. Humm… anyway…
In January 1st, we visit home to home to celebrate a new year. First, we visit a husband side of home and celebrate a new year, then visit wife’s house to celebrate a new year. So, basically, we are drinking and eating in the morning to the night. In my case… 1.Visit my in-law parents’ house. (Celebration 1) 2. My husband’s sister came and visits. So celebrate again (Celebration 2). 3. Go visit my mother-in-law’s family home. (Celebration 3), 4. Go visit father-in-law’s family home. So, my January 1st goes like this every year… ^^

When you visitting a house to house, you will have sake (Japanese rice alchole) called Otoso with sliced tangle and dried cuttlefish. You do not care how old you are, you will have otoso. (Picture is my nieces who are 5 years old and 2 years old)This is how a real Osechi-ryouri looks like.

Natto and Kimuchi

Nattō (納豆) is a traditional Japanese food made from soybeans. And you can find it everywhere in Japan. Nattō has powerful smell but has good strong flavor and sticky consistency. In Japan nattō is most popular in the eastern Kanto region. Natto is favorate food and I had Natto and Kimuchi with bowl of rice. ^^SOOOOO GOOOOOOD!!!!
Takoyaki たこ焼き

Takoyaki たこ焼き (literally fried or baked octopus) is a popular Japanese dumping made of batter, diced octopus, tempura scraps (tenkasu), pickled ginger, konnyaku, and green onion, topped with okonomiyaki sauce, green laver (aonori), mayonnaise, and katsuobushi (fish shavings), originated in Osaka. But Takoyaki si also easily made at home. It is easy to buy special frying pan made of cast iron at supermarket ^^ I also have one.
But this Takoyaki was from store near my house. They had really goooood Takoyaki. We eat Takoyaki as a snack food. When we are bit hungry, or want to eat something late at night. But also you can make it as dinner dish. Not only itself, but it is really fun to make it with you family and your friends. Originally, you put octopus, but you can put anything you want to. You can put Kimuchi^^, corn, cheese, your vatorate vegetables.... and it is really fun to make your original thing.... ^^
Chanpon and Kimuchi
Chanpon is a Japanese word meaning a mixture of disparate things. One common usage is in Nagasaki Chanpon, which is a noodle dish developed in the international port city of Nagasaki, where a mixture of ingredients such as fish, vegetable, and meat are tossed together as a topping. The word 'Chanpon'also means being able to navigate and embrace different cultural styles simultaneously; it means not only direct experience with multiple cultures, but being able to blend them into a unique and tasty combination.
(quote from Wikipedia)

And I am eating Kimuchi almost everyday. I got kind of crazy about spicy stuff. Kimchi, also known as gimchi or kimchee is a traditional Korean dish of fremented chili peppers and vegetables, usually made from Chinese cabbage. I eat kimuchi almost every meal, and I always have spicy and hot stuff to my food. Kimuchi makes me want to go to Korea. My good freind was studing in Korea, and I should have visited her where she was there, but, one time, she brough me back 3~4 kinds of Kimuchi. OH, they were sooo good. They fremented chilli peppers to all kinds of stuff. Chinese cabbage, fish, cattlefish, etc.. ^^ and these days, Tabasco is not that hot anymore... ^^; what happen to my sence of taste.I will ask my Korean friend, and ask her to teach me how to make Kimuchi. ^^ heehee
