Chanpon and Kimuchi

Chanpon is a Japanese word meaning a mixture of disparate things. One common usage is in Nagasaki Chanpon, which is a noodle dish developed in the international port city of Nagasaki, where a mixture of ingredients such as fish, vegetable, and meat are tossed together as a topping.

The word 'Chanpon'also means being able to navigate and embrace different cultural styles simultaneously; it means not only direct experience with multiple cultures, but being able to blend them into a unique and tasty combination.

And I am eating Kimuchi almost everyday. I got kind of crazy about spicy stuff. Kimchi, also known as gimchi or kimchee is a traditional Korean dish of fremented chili peppers and vegetables, usually made from Chinese cabbage. I eat kimuchi almost every meal, and I always have spicy and hot stuff to my food. Kimuchi makes me want to go to Korea. My good freind was studing in Korea, and I should have visited her where she was there, but, one time, she brough me back 3~4 kinds of Kimuchi. OH, they were sooo good. They fremented chilli peppers to all kinds of stuff. Chinese cabbage, fish, cattlefish, etc.. ^^ and these days, Tabasco is not that hot anymore... ^^; what happen to my sence of taste.

I will ask my Korean friend, and ask her to teach me how to make Kimuchi. ^^ heehee
